I go through phases with fruit, one week I’m obsessed with cantaloupe then next mango. However, pears are a constant favorite of mine. As a high sugar fruit they are perfect for sweetening your smoothies when you’re not in the mood for bananas.

I can’t drink a smoothie without putting some sort of vegetable in it. I always like some sort of leafy green for health benefits. But when it comes to flavor my favorite smoothie vegetable is fennel. The anise flavor really kicks your smoothie game up a notch.
