Who says tuna salad has to be heavy and covered in mayo? I guess you could call this tuna tartar but that makes it sound like a fancy restaurant dish you would never make at home. But tuna salad, well that doesn’t sound intimidating at all! So go ahead impress your guests with this refreshing tuna salad!

The key to making this salad delicious, is finding fresh sushi grade tuna. This can be found in most seafood markets. I love the bright pink color of fresh tuna, it’s such a beautiful fish! Loaded with fresh mango and cucumber with a hint of spicy jalapeno this salad has it all!

You can serve with with some arugula or serve it with some tortilla chips, you really can’t go wrong. I love using a combo of sesame and coconut oil, they provide the perfect balance for the tuna! Keep in mind coconut oil hardens with cold, so you want to add that right before diving in. And trust me, if you serve if at a party there wont be any leftovers!

  • 8 oz Raw Tuna, Diced
  • 1 tablespoon Red Onion, Minced
  • 1 Mango, Diced
  • ½ Cup Cucumbers, Minced
  • 1 tsp Jalopeano, Minced
  • 2 teaspoons Lime Juice
  • 2 teaspoon Cilantro, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Aminos
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame OIl
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients
  2. Season with Salt
