Foil packet cooking is definitely a favorite in my house. For years my boyfriend and I were traveling for work, often we only had a grill to cook with on our days off. Foil packet dinners became a necessity, and there are less dishes!
July is here and that means it’s the perfect time for grilling! For my last #CookoutWeek 2016 post I thought I would share with you 5 of my favorite foil packet recipes! Be sure to enter the giveaway at the bottom of the page!
- East Salmon And Potato Foil Packets – Averie Cooks
Many people think grilling is just for fatty meats and burgers, but I love lighter grill options. We made this recipe on our grill and it came out picture perfect. I added some cherry tomatoes to mine that way my whole meal was in one foil packet!
2. Caprese Stuffed Chicken Foil Packets – The Wholesome Dish
Caprese salad is such a classic summer staple. But it’s even better when the cheese is ooey gooey and stuffed inside a chicken. Pairing it with summer squashes makes for a vegetable heavy dinner, which is something I love!
3. Indian Spiced Baked Potato with Eggs – Cotter Crunch
Breakfast for dinner is definitely a favorite around here, and it’s so inexpensive. I have never thought of eggs in a foil packet before. But having a runny yolk all over some smokey potatoes, well that is just pure perfection.
4. Southwest Chicken Foil Packets – Everyday Dishes
One of the best parts of foil packet dinners is that everyone can customize their own. I love beans, but my boyfriend hates them. This recipe is great because it’s so easy for us to make a meal perfect for our taste. Plus any dinner with gooey cheese is always a winner around here.
5. Shrimp Boil Packet– Tasteful Venture
I had never heard of a Low Country Shrimp Boil until I lived in Charleston. Up north I grew up on lobster boils, but shrimp boils loaded with Old Bay were new to me. They soon become a favorite of mine. Eating this packet transports me right back to my brief time living in Charleston.
