This High Protein Tzatziki Sauce swaps out the traditional Greek yogurt for some cottage cheese. Giving it a real pack of protein, not to mention a delicious flavor. It’s the perfect condiment for sandwiches or dips!
Tzatziki 2 (Small)

If I have one favorite sauce, it’s tzatziki. Creamy and loaded with dill I can put it on everything: chicken, sandwiches, vegetables, fish, it’s so delicious. So delicious in fact, I often just eat it right out of the container. That’s what inspired to make a more filling version.

Tzatziki 1

While Greek yogurt is already fairly high protein I swapped mine out for some cottage cheese. Cottage cheese has 27 grams of protein per cup compared to Greek yogurt’s 12. I also shredded some zucchini to add, well because I love extra veggies. Instead of shredding the cucumbers I diced them, this provides a great texture and crunch.

Tzatziki 3 (Small)

This tzatziki sauce makes everything better.  It’s my ideal lunch, I topped it with some of my marinated tomatoes and I’m good to go. Even better, this recipe gets better then longer it sits. All those herbaceous dill notes marinate into the cottage cheese. It’s good in the fridge for about a week, making lunch time much easier.

      Thanks, I always sneak in extra veggies where ever I can you can’t taste the zucchini but I like knowing it’s there!

    I love Tzatziki sauce and your changes look amazing. I’ve never thought to use cottage cheese. I need to try it as I’m a total carb-girl and always struggle to get enough protein in my diet.
