If you follow me on social media you were spammed this past weekend with pictures from the Food Wine Conference, it was so amazing I just wanted to share every single aspect. In my first post about the conference I mentioned how nervous I was attending this event. Well, I am glad I ignored those nerves because the conference was better than I ever imagined.

Firstly, the hotel was amazing. Every aspect of the Rose Shingle Creek is stunning. I was honestly expecting a dark, conference hotel off the highway. Not, an amazing place I’d never want to leave! The pools were stunning, the rooms amazing, and there was even an arcade where I spent most nights after the conference killing dinosaurs: truly paradise. I was even more impressed with the care to details the event and hotel staff to food allergies. At every meal there were plenty of amazing gluten free treats, and I didn’t get cross contaminated all weekend. That within itself was a true miracle!

I really lucked out with my brand sponsor for the event. Anyone who was there can tell you without Family Foodie there would be no event. Not only did Isabel put together an amazing event, but, she took the time to speak with everyone attending the event. I was greeted like an old friend by someone I had never met before, she really made each blogger feel like an important aspect of the event.

I will say being treated like an old friend was a theme throughout the event. In reading everyone’s posts before the conference the food seemed to be the highlight of the event. While the food was amazing, I could not get over the level of comradery. At ever turn of the conference was a new friend, I met so many amazing bloggers and sponsors. I learned lots from the speakers, but I learned even more from getting to talk one on one with some of my favorite bloggers.

I really don’t think I could pick a favorite part of the conference. I loved the Hot Shots: Food Style & Photography session, I can’t wait to put some of the new tricks I learned to the test. The Milk Bar by Florida Dairy was amazing, I mean a Chocolate Milk Bar: this is the stuff my childhood dreams were made of. The live Sunday Supper at Tapa Toro was definitely the most laughs I had the whole weekend. I will definitely be attending next years conference! Until then I look forward to getting to connect with everyone Sunday’s at 7pm for #SundaySupper on twitter!
