These cheesy Pepper Jack Biscuits are so flavorful and delicious. Loaded with flavor, perfect for slabbing with butter or making breakfast sandwiches.

Gearing up for the Food Wine Conference in Orlando has been so much fun. I am truly enjoying all these recipe contests. I absolutely love recipe testing and creating new tasty treats. When I saw the #makeitwithMILK contest hosted by Florida Dairy Farmers I knew I wanted to make biscuits!

As much as I love a classic biscuit since we needed to use two different types of dairy I knew I wanted to add cheese. Instead of the typical cheddar biscuits, I used pepper jack cheese. This make for such a flavorful biscuit. The combination of pepper jack cheese, green onion, and paprika really give these biscuits a kick.

I’m a huge milk drinker, still have a glass of skim milk with dinner most nights. However, when it comes to biscuits I’m all about whole milk. The whole milk, combined with the cheese, and of course butter makes a such a flavorful biscuit.

  • 1½ Cup Oat Flour
  • 1 Cup Corn Starch
  • ½ Cup Tapioca Starch
  • 1 Teaspoon Xanthan Gum
  • 1½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Stick Butter, Cold Cubed
  • 1 Cup Pepper Jack Cheese, Grated
  • ¼ Cup Green Onions
  • 1¼ Cup Whole Milk
  1. Mix dry ingredient
  2. Add butter, mix until resembles small pebbles
  3. Add cheese and green onions
  4. Slowly add milk while mixing
  5. Pat dough flat until ½ inch thick
  6. Cut into circles
  7. Top with addition grated pepper jack
  8. Bake at 425 for 12-15 minutes
